America's Birth | |
| Enclosed by oceans, long and wide Majestic cities sit inside, A Brave young country, true and free The enemy of tyranny Offers hope to those who seek A life of happy lasting peace,
Great is their loyal reverent pledge, Her people shield to water's edge, At any cost loss and life, A motherland that's rife, Of independence, wealth and choice A citizenship with one voice,
There is no country near as grand, As this sacred precious land, No other blessed by grace of God, Where many righteous men have trod, No other land is worth out prayers, Or gratitude to our forebears,
So celebrate today, her birth, And let us vow to keep on earth, A place despairing men can find, The promise of No Other Kind, A home that sets his spirit free, To live and dwell in liberty. | By Bethanie Gordon Copyright 2003 Listed 7/10/2006 |
