| Goodbye can not be said to those who do not leave. We cannot allow you to go. Our hearts are full of the images left to us, in the wake of your passing, but we will not let them fade into the nothingness of oblivion! Your gift, the price that you paid for us, is boldly emblazoned in our corridors of loving memory. There is no understanding, no rational grasp of the dark horror, that transported you from among us. There is only the intense discomfort at recalling the helpless rage of watching you depart. We will not say goodbye! Nor will we welcome the efforts of those who would! You are indelibly imprinted on our hearts, on the hearts of the nations of reason, and so will you remain. | By William Hood Copyright 2005 Listed 03/28/2005 |
