911 Flight Crews | |
|
We dedicated ourselves to service. We were just going to work, onboard our planes. Our homes away from home. Welcoming our passengers.
We are heroes who don't get much press. Possibly due to our type of dress. We wore a different uniform, Not rescue, not police, nor firefighter.
We had wings not badges. Imagine our courage as we died. Onboard, in flight in our place of work. Our place we chose to fly freely assisting passengers.
Flying the airplane as a pilot, with the love flight. Flight attendants readying the aircraft in the early morning. We didn't know our horrific plight. Our fond love of flying. Our sacred space and place would be changed. | By Rita Blackwell Copyright 2006 Listed 9/15/2006 |
