When I see old glory wave, I remember those now in a grave. Those who gave there life for me so I could live in the land of the free.
To see that flag flying high, on this day the fourth of July. Our rights and freedom still intact, We won't buckle in to a terrorist act.
My father served during World War II, and I'm proud to say that I served too. To save this America were we both live is worth our life which we would give.
And when I hear our Star-spangled banner, I give it reverence in some kind of manner. America is, the home of the brave, which our fighting men have fought to save.
How could I not feel a pride, in my country I love deep down inside? To see our country celebrate this day, With our pride and honor on display.
I pray to God there'll be no more war, all the way from shore to shore. And may all mankind live in peace, and our need to fight will come to cease. |
