One Vote |

|
Voting is a privilege,
A right and responsibility,
To establish good government,
And keep our nation free.
But more, to keep Old Glory
Waving o'er this land,
An emblem of America,
Which patriots understand.
Our nation has fought many wars,
And many lives were lost,
Establishing democracy,
And what a terrible cost.
And yet, it is important
To keep America free,
Free from chains of bondage,
From sea to shining sea.
God help us as a nation,
And as a people, too,
To remember those who fought and died,
And do what we must do,
To honor them by voting
To keep America free,
Electing those who love this land,
And our sweet liberty.
And remember, please remember,
One vote is all it takes
To win or lose the battle,
