Longing for America | |
| My country calls to me five senses pick Her not up yet, I sense Her
Speak does She not but loud does Her voice reach me My soul reaches for Her She is close, but far away
My heart beats with Her every wave upon that heart my hand lays My eyes gaze not upon Her face Closed I breathe in with longing
Her sweet savor reaches me not I smell Her, but it is not real She holds everything dear to me true to her will I be for eternity my sweet sweet land of liberty! |
