Independence Day | |

The 4th of July is traditionally referred to as
"Independence Day". This of course is referring to the
fact that our forefathers announced their intentions to
form a nation, free to do the will of God as they
understood it. "One Nation Under God" was their motto.
This statement of independence brought the nation up and
down paths that our forefathers could never have
imagined. However, the results have made us truly the
greatest nation in the world. This 4th of July, as flags
are waving and parades are in progress, lets each take a
moment to reflect on God's goodness. Sing a verse or two
of the song "God Bless America". Our nation will remain
great so long as we remain true to the high standards
that have made it great, and to the One who has blessed
us in our pursuit of establishing a nation where the will
of God is taken seriously. | By John Leroy Maxwell
