Emblems Of This Land, America | |
| The Eagle and the Flag I love, Are emblems of this land, Established many years ago, With Father in command, And safeguarded by the Army, The Navy and Marines, too, The Coastguard, and the Air Force Who fly the skies of blue.
And also by the National Guard, Who are ready, willing and able, To help safeguard our liberty, And keep our freedom stable, And go where they are needed, To fight for freedom here, For loved ones, God and country, Which to their hearts are dear.
They fought in every battle In days and years gone by, And many gave their lives, their all, And some folks wonder why, But I know 'twas for liberty, And freedom here to be Citizens of this great land, From sea to shining sea.
And many fought on foreign shores To set at liberty, The captives and their countrymen Who yearned to here be free, Free from chains of bondage, And tyrants who enslave, And many sons of Uncle Sam Have been laid in the grave.
Greater love hath no man than this, The saying goes, Than one should lay his life down For his friends, and fight the foes, To free from chains of bondage, Both saint and sinner, too, So they may live the good life, As we in America do.
God bless the mighty Eagle, And our Red, White and Blue, And bless the men and women Who serve our country, too, And bless our nation's patriots, Who've fought to keep us free, And God bless America, This land of liberty. |
