America is a wonderful mixture
of a diverse people that started
with the early settlers
joining those native to the land,
followed by streams of more immigrants
from many countries
over the years to present.
America is freedom
to vote your choice,
dissent in a loud
voice,
practice your belief,
seek legal relief,
bear a
firearm,
and own a business or farm.
America is standing tall
in a world war brawl
diplomatic
squall,
or economic crawl...
refusing to fall
in doing what
is right
even if she must use her might.
America is We the People,
the Bill of Rights,
individual
states united,
singing the Star Spangled Banner,
saying the
Pledge of Allegiance,
Old Glory waving high,
a hand over heart
or in salute,
and honoring our valiant troops. |
