Marine Cpl. Matthew Ubl Awarded For Saving Life June 5, 2020
June 4, 2020 - U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Matthew T. Ubl received a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal from his commanding officer Lt. Col. Christopher Conner for his efforts executing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for 15 minutes on an unknown, unconscious civilian, which contributed to saving the man’s life. Cpl. Ubl is a light armored vehicle repair technician with Alpha Company (Co.), 2d Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion (LAR), 2d Marine Division (MARDIV) at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
