Flight Formation Over Snow Covered Mountains May 18, 2020
May 5, 2020 - A U.S. Air Force E-3 Sentry, an airborne warning and control system (AWACS), leads F-22 Raptors and F-35A Lightning IIs fighter aircraft during a flight formation over snow covered mountains in the clear blue Alaskan sky. The mass formation of Total Force Airmen and aircraft displayed the ability of active-duty, Guard and Reserve forces to plan and fly together to provide airpower in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific and homeland defense despite the COVID-19 global pandemic.
