Krewe Of Zulu's Grand Marshall Aboard USCG Cutter February 29, 2020
February 24, 2020 - Rear Adm. John Nadeau, Commander, Eighth Coast Guard District, with Krewe of Zulu’s Grand Marshall aboard Coast Guard Cutter Barbara Mabrity in transit to Woldenberg Park, New Orleans for the start of Lundi Gras. Escorting the Krewe of Zulu aboard the cutter is a tradition in New Orleans. Lundi Gras is a relatively recently popularized name for a series of Shrove Monday events taking place during the Mardi Gras. It includes the tradition of Rex, king of the New Orleans carnival, and Zulu King arriving by boat.
