Navy Patrol Boats During VBSS Near Guam August 27, 2019
August 26, 2019 - U.S. Navy Mark VI patrol boats attached to Coastal Riverine Squadron (CRS) 2 with embarked Marines assigned to 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division and Clearance Divers assigned to the Royal Canadian Navy’s Fleet Diving Pacific and Atlantic Units, navigate near Apra Harbor, Guam ... during a visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) subject matter expert knowledge exchange as part of Exercise HYDRACRAB. HYDRACRAB is a quadrilateral exercise conducted by forces from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and U.S. Naval forces. The purpose of this exercise is to prepare the participating Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) forces to operate as an integrated, capable, and potent allied force ready to respond to a changing and complex maritime environment in the Indo-Pacific region.
