Maritime Safety and Security Training With K-9 July 25, 2019
July 17, 2019 - Petty Officer 1st Class Elliott Felix and his dog, Luna, from Maritime Safety and Security Team Seattle, are lowered from an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter during routine training at the Coast Guard Sector Columbia River air base in Warrenton, Oregon. Maritime Safety and Security Teams were established in 2004 to fulfill a requirement for a higher maritime security posture that arose as the result of the events on September 11, 2001.
