Marines Secure Landing Zone May 1, 2019
April 15, 2019 - U.S. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, secure a landing zone during Weapons and Tactics Instructors (WTI) course 3-19, at Barry M. Goldwater Range, Wellton, Arizona. 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment provided support to WTI as part of a seven week training event hosted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One, which emphasizes operational integration of the six functions of Marine Corps aviation in support of a Marine Air-Ground Task Force.
