Coast Guard Yorktown's 'Colonial' Color Guard May 19, 2018
May 18, 2018 - Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown's colonial uniformed color guard presents the colors during a change of command ceremony. The change of command ceremony marks a transfer of total responsibility and authority from one individual to another, and is a time-honored tradition, conducted before the assembled crew, as well as honored guests and dignitaries to formally demonstrate the continuity of the authority within a command.
