A Maritime Raid Force Marine holds security while his team moves toward the objective during a raid January 13, 2016 on Guam. The raid is one scenario during the Realistic Urban Training Exercise (RUTEX). RUTEX is used to provide the MRF with high-intensity, close-quarter battle training in an urban environment. The training provides a degree of realism that cannot be duplicated at the MRF's facilities on Okinawa. The exercise is part of the MRF's pre-deployment training before their upcoming deployment with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit.
