October 19, 2015 - Sailors from the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain (DDG 56) stand pier-side to welcome their sister ship USS Benfold (DDG 65) as it arrives at Fleet Activities (FLEACT) Yokosuka to join the Forward-Deployed Naval Forces in Japan. Benfold recently updated its air defenses to the Aegis Baseline 9 combat system. FLEACT Yokosuka provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 83 tenant commands, and 24,000 military and civilian personnel.
