Marines with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 115 say goodbye to loved ones as they prepare to deploy to the Western Pacific aboard Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort as part of the Unit Deployment Program on July 9, 2014. Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 115 (VMFA-115), also known as the Silver Eagles, will support multinational exercises improving American forces' ability to work well with allies while exposing the Marines to various training elements. The UDP is designed to balance strategic capabilities in the Pacific theater to train with allies, respond to crises and promote security cooperation across the region.
