Tom and Romayne McGinnis, parents of the late Spc. Ross McGinnis, unveil a mannequin replica of their son during a dedication ceremony which presented him as a Medal of Honor recipient held at the 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division headquarters Dec. 7, 2012.

McGinnis was an infantryman assigned to the 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment.

While deployed to Adamiyah, Iraq, McGinnis saved the lives of four fellow Soldiers by taking most of the impact from a grenade that had entered their vehicle.

Along with the unveiling, the ceremony honored McGinnis with the Medal of Honor and rededicated the company operations facilities in his tribute.
