Riccione earned the Bronze Star with Valor while serving with Company A, 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment and was killed in Vietnam Sept. 27, 1967. Riccione, a Geneva, NY native, recently had his hometown post office renamed in his honor.
