FORT
LEONARD WOOD, MO (May 30, 2011) - A memorial flag was presented
to Harry Eaton on Memorial Day for his dedication and missions performed
as a bugler at military events and ceremonies. Since being certified in
2003, Eaton has performed at 1,145 events and traveled 72,849 miles.
Honoring Easton was in association of a Memorial Day Ceremony at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery,
where Fort Leonard Wood.
Maj. Gen. David Quantock, commanding general, Maneuver Support Center of
Excellence and Fort Leonard Wood delivered a message in honor of the 1.2
million veterans who have paid the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our
way of life and freedoms.
The event was well
attended by area Veterans and the local community.
The Missouri
Veterans Cemetery at FLW, was formally dedicated on September 13, 2010,
and is the fifth operational state Veterans cemetery in the state of
Missouri.
