Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Victor Arroyos fires the Navy's dazzler to
familiarize himself with the device on the fantail of the aircraft
carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in the Indian Ocean, Oct. 16, 2010.
The dazzler can be used for signaling or as a non-lethal deterrent to
any hostile force approaching the ship.
