U.S. Army Sgt. Wesley Woodard uses a sketch to illustrate a
proper patrol formation while training Afghan Border Policemen
at Combat Outpost Herrera, Afghanistan, Oct. 5, 2009. The
training is part of the Combined Action Academy, a four-week
program on basic soldiering skills taught by U.S. soldiers
assigned to the Apache Troop, 1st Squadron, 40th Cavalry
Regiment.
