Navy sailors assigned to the amphibious transport dock ship USS
Nashville ride a rigid hull inflatable boat in the Atlantic Ocean to
the pier in Dakar, Senegal, Feb. 3, 2009, to prepare for Nashville's
arrival. Nashville is deployed as a part of
Africa Partnership Station 2009, an international initiative
developed by Naval Forces Europe and Naval Forces Africa to improve
maritime safety and security.
