ARABIAN GULF (Nov. 27, 2008) - Captain Robert Irelan and Colonel Mark J. Desens carve the Thanksgiving turkey aboard USS Iwo Jima (LHD-7), Nov. 27, 2008. The turkey is to be served for the Thanksgiving dinner for Marines and sailors aboard the Iwo Jima. The 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Iwo Jima Strike Group are currently deployed to the 5th Fleet Area of Operation. Nov. 27, 2008 - Captain Robert Irelan and Colonel Mark J.
