Richie Mahboub of Astoria, NY arrived at the
Operation Iraqi
Children (OIC) Warehouse in Kansas City recently, bearing $1,600 in checks,
his bike and a tent and sleeping bag on November 14, 2008. OIC, a program of Kansas City based People to People
International, is a grassroots effort founded in early 2004 by actor Gary Sinise
and author Laura Hillenbrand to provide a means for concerned Americans to reach
out to children in Iraq and Afghanistan while supporting American troops.
