June 19, 2008 -- Petty Officer Christopher Seevers (Left) and Seaman Daniel Naylor (Right) stand below the Yaquina Bay Bridge, where on a cold December night in 2006 they made a daring rescue 129-foot above the bay. They were honored for their heroism with the Coast Guard Commendation Medal. This medal is given to those who distinguish themselves by heroism, outstanding achievement or meritorious service above what is normally expected.
