SABINE PASS,
Texas - Coast Guard Captain
William Diehl presents
crewmembers from Aids to
Navigation Team Sabine Pass
with a Captain's Coin to
honor them for receiving the
Sumner I. Kimball award here
Friday, March 7, 2008.
Candidacy to receive the
Kimball Award requires a
combination of good test
scores, crew proficiency,
great condition of the
vessels, excellent
performance of underway
drills, a successful and
progressive unit training
program, survival systems
readiness and good
administrative work by all
members. Failure in any one
of these areas will likely
prevent a unit from
achieving this award. |
