CAMP LEMONIER, Djibouti ...
Staff Sgt. Donald Johnson, a
Canton, S.D., native and
platoon sergeant with
Battery A, 3rd Low Altitude
Air Defense Battalion,
prepares to hammer nails
into a wooden base for a
well cover in Chebellier,
Feb. 7, 2008. The Marines
decided to construct a new
cover after noting the poor
water quality of the well,
which was without a viable
cover. Spare parts were
gathered by the Marines and
used in the construction of
the well, which was finished
in just a few hours.
