"This is part of a Veterans
Christmas Special performed for the 3rd Army, the
Screaming Eagles and the USAF at Wright Patterson.
Last week at a Native American Flute performance a
young lady came up and bought an album and said she was
shipping it out to Iraq. She really didn't look old
enough to be in the army and going to a war zone. I told
her to take care, be safe and I would play a song for
her. Times are really changing and it is a brave new
world we live in, but I know Republican or Democrat, for
the war or against the war, Conservative or Liberal we
all support our young men and women who are laying their
lives on the line for us and want all of them to come
back safe and sound.
The Native American people have
served our country with honor and distinction at a
higher per ca-pita rate than any other race in the
United States always as volunteers never drafted,
because they were not required by law to serve, because
of their nation status.
At Christmas Oyate Music
joined me in making my music available free to all the
troops over seas as a present. All they had to do is
request it and we would send it to them. We sent many
CD's out and support our troops." John De
