Two videos of this heartfelt song are available...
The first video was filmed on September 5, 2008
while Stephen Cochran was being interviewed by Brent Lane and Dana
Cervantes at Cat Country 98.7 in Pensacola, FL. It starts with
Stephen Cochran describing the reasons for writing
"When a Hero Falls", which is in honor of Sgt. Ron Paine who
died so that another could live and for all fallen heroes. (Sgt.
Ron Paine was also the first fallen Marine in Afghanistan.)
Cochran then performs the song live.
"All patriots should experience this first video . . . as they will
find this Marine veteran a wonderful example of those who serve our great
country in the military . . . and will feel the very strong, sincere emotion of
his live performance, vividly evoking the memory of the events that he just
spoke about that includes his own remarkable recovery from a broken back that
was supposed to leave him unable to walk . . . Semper Fi Stephen!" David Bancroft, USA Patriotism! founderand
father of a Marine veteran (Feb. 2009)
The second video below is Stephen Cochran's performance of "When
a Hero Falls" at Jamboree in the Hills in 2007.
Even though Stephen
Cochran is now a veteran, his following words exemplify how his
military service in the Marines impacted his life...
"I love the Marine Corps . . . Everything they did for me structured
my life and gave me the drive to know that I can do anything I want
to do."
And Stephen continues to give to his beloved
country by performing for the troops including overseas tours where
they are in harms way.
Stephen is also a strong supporter and spokesman for
Salute
America's Heroes, which is a nonprofit organization that provides a way for individuals, corporations and others to support our troops by helping severely wounded and disabled Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom veterans and their families rebuild their lives.
