Pamela Ramsey's own words...
"I wrote it
shortly after 9/11. I was so moved by all of the American
flags flying everywhere. It was so over whelming.
The
patriotism for this country on full display by the showing
of this flag, our flag. The flag of the United States of
America. The flag that symbolized freedom. This flag that
had been burned in country's that did not have our freedom,
this flag that was raised and memorialized in statues in
Arlington Cemetery. This flag that said, if you can get
within reach of me, I will help you.
I Love That Flag, and I Love To See It Wave. When the wind
is just right, it is a flag flying day. And our flag does
wave and blow against the sky in a rather majestic way.
There are many people around the world that do not get
America and how we feel about our country. The English get
it, the UK, but many do not. Anyway, Thank you very much
for the honor of being among those chosen.
