We Surrender country as flag
The War in Iraq is taking too long
We Surrender
Abandon them and go home

Terrorism is on the rise
We Surrender
They are training where we left

Terrorist Nations may get Nukes
We Surrender
Let them have the bomb

Economy suffers through instability
We Surrender
Massive layoffs

The question is:
If we Surrender
Who Will Defend Us?

Author's Note: Written after watching a financial program that posed... Is the US in danger of becoming like France? The commentators were referring to the social and economic issues that France is currently experiencing, and the U.S. will have if changes are not made. I look at the area about which many Americans make fun of the French.

About Author... Mark Kirkmeyer served as a Light Weapons/Medical Specialist in the U.S. Army (1983-88), the U.S. Army Reserve (1988-1992), and the California National Guard (1992-1995). He is Gulf War Veteran (1991) and served in Korea (1986-87).
