Jeffrey Pearsall was in Afghanistan. Charlie's daddy missed seeing his birth online due to a communication blackout for all Forward Operating Bases that day in response to a fellow soldier being killed at another base. March 30, 2018 - Three KC-130J Super Hercules with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron (VMGR) 352, Marine Aircraft Group 11, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, conduct a ceremonial formation flight for the VMGR-352 75th anniversary at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California. The squadron held a battle color ceremony, which consisted of a reading of the unit’s citations and awards, a color guard, performance by the 3rd MAW band and a ceremonial formation flight. Major Christopher "Tripp" Zanetis, a pilot with the 101st Rescue Squadron, 106th Rescue Wing, New York Air National Guard is honored during a procession led by the Fire Department of New York through lower Manhattan March 29, 2018. Major Zanetis lost his life close to the Iraq/Syrian border when his aircraft, an HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter crashed near the city of Al-Qa'im.
