Patriot Guard Riders
A nonprofit organization supporting those who risk their lives for America's freedom and security. Its main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives... (1) Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities. (2) Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors.
Pin-Ups For Vets
A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that raises funds to improve Veterans' healthcare, donates funds to VA hospitals for medical equipment and program expansion, improves quality of life for ill Veterans through personal bedside visits to deliver gifts, promotes volunteerism at Veterans Hospitals, and boosts morale for deployed troops through delivery of care packages.
Project New Hope
Provides veterans (singles, couples, and families) with the education, training, and skills necessary to manage their lives after wartime service with the repair of relationships is a primary goal. And of course, have fun in the process!
Purple Heart Homes
A 501(c)(3) non-partisan nonprofit dedicated to providing housing solutions for Service Connected Disabled Veterans that served in all conflicts. It is co-founded by two Iraq combat wounded veterans on a mission to make a difference in the lives of our Service Connected Disabled Veterans and their caregivers.
Rocky Mountain Hyperbaric Association for Brain Injuries
Offers financial assistance for HBOT treatments to veterans who suffer from PTSD. Research has already been conducted regarding the positive effects of HBOT for veterans with PTSD. This enables RMHABI to focus all funds from the Healing our Heroes Fund to be directed towards HBOT treatments.
A 501(c)(4) non-profit organization with over 88 chartered chapters throughout the United States and members abroad. While many members of Rolling Thunder are veterans, and many ride motorcycles, neither qualification is a prerequisite. All members are united in the cause to bring full accountability for POWs and MIAs of all wars, reminding the government, the media and the public by our watchwords: “We Will Not Forget.” Rolling Thunder also provides financial aid, food, clothing and other essentials to veterans, homeless veterans and veterans' families in need, women's' crisis centers and toys for children.
Salute America's Heroes
A nonprofit organization that provides emergency financial aid and other assistance to troops who have been severely wounded in Iraq or Afghanistan. It focuses on helping servicemen and women with the most debilitating injuries, such as those who have been severely burned, blinded, paralyzed or brain-damaged. Because so many of our wounded heroes will need expensive, long-term care, we're also trying to educate the public - and our elected officials - about the importance of getting the government to fulfill its obligations to our wounded troops and their families.
Semper Fido, Inc.
A non-profit organization committed to the rehabilitation of service members and veterans that have been injured while defending our country and have been diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and/or traumatic brain injuries (TBI). It has been proven that using dogs for mental as well as physical rehabilitation can greatly benefit these warriors' recovery. Semper Fido, Inc. is committed to helping in the rehabilitation of these brave warriors while saving unwanted animals from shelters and rescues.
Silver Star Families of America
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that remembers. honors, and assists the wounded of our Armed Forces from all wars. They do this primarily by presenting the wounded or their families a Silver Star Banner and Certificate. The SSFOA has also expanded to include programs such as Hear4You, which consists of volunteers who stand by to listen to any armed force member who may have a problem, the Feed a Hungry Hero Program, Hand Held Game Program to assist hand eye coordination for our wounded, Homeless vet program, Information for women veterans and programs for PTSD, and TBI afflicted wounded. A volunteer-led 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing aid and comfort to the men and women of the United States Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and their families. With over 30 different teams and projects, our nearly 200,000 volunteers assist veterans, wounded and deployed personnel and their families in a variety of unique and effective ways.
Soldiers Undertaking Disabled Scuba (SUDS)
SUDS, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is designed to help improve the lives of injured service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. By training the warriors in a challenging and rewarding activity it can help facilitate the rehabilitation process and promote mobility. Offering this venue provides the service member with a sport they can enjoy during their rehabilitation and throughout their life.
Southern California Wheelchair Veterans Association (SCWVA)
Although its primary focus has been to help those disabled veterans confined in wheelchairs, SCWVA's charter states that it is able to help any disabled, ill, or hospitalized veteran. SCWVA also sponsors veterans to enable their participation in the National Wheelchair Games and Golden Age Games, as well as other rehabilitative sports clinics.
Stars For Stripes
Nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality entertainment to internationally deployed U.S. military forces. Working in conjunction with Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE), Stars For Stripes strives to take quality, celebrity entertainment into the remote sites where the troops need the moral boost the most.
